The Shield Gazette has reported that the Whitburn Golf Club has launched a series of improvements to make the course fit for the 21st Century.
They have installed an £80k Biomass boiler along with the an extension to toilet and shower facilities. As well as reducing their energy costs with the Biomass boiler they have a three year plan to also install a wind turbine, which their Secretary, Bob Button says “It will provide an income and help reduce our electricity bills.”
Not only will they be saving on their running costs, but if they have chosen the correct technology then they will also be eligible for Enhanced Capital Allowances.
